Chair Covers - FAQs
Frequently asked questions about our chair covers:
I'm new to this business, where do I start?
We understand this can be overwhelming because we've been manufacturing table linens and chair covers for over 30 years,
and talk to newcomers to the party rental business everyday.
The first step is to research your local market and find out what your competitors are offering and charging.
Then, if you can, try to see exactly what their quality is because if you can differentiate your offering,
it is a good selling point to your clients.
After researching this, decide what you can invest in linens and chair covers,
and figure out how many parties it will take to cover your cost of your initial investment.
At Gary Manufacturing, we believe you should be able to cover your chair cover cost within 3-4 party rentals.
Our linens will last for 5-6 years, so remember, while it seems like a heavy initial outlay,
getting into the rental business will provide you many years of income.
Double check with the various event venues around town, and ask them what their chair sizes are,
so you have a very good idea of what your needs for sizes will be.
Is it possible to buy one size chair cover that fits all chairs?
If you want your event to look professional, and polished, you have to provide linens and chair covers that fit properly,
otherwise you end up with chairs that look like they have pillowcases thrown on them, and linens that do not match.
We do not offer a one-size-fits-all chair cover because there are just too many different chairs in use today.
How will I know that your chair covers will fit my chairs?
We request you fill out our chair measurement chart.
It is very detailed, and allows you to give us the exact specifications of your chairs.
After you place your order, we send you the first cover.
If any changes need to be made, just let us know and we will make them.
This way we ensure that you receive a chair cover that fits properly and looks great!
How can I compete in the rental business if I don’t buy deep discount chair covers to start?
Today, chair covers are the standard; very few events are planned without them.
Therefore, you need a chair cover that is going to last.
As a party planner, if you buy the lowest prices chair covers, you will undoubtedly find poor quality.
To overcome client objections (who have seen rock bottom chair cover rentals on the Internet (some as low as $ 1.00 each) remind them that it is a marketing ploy.
Inform them about the shipping fees (which are substantial when shipping out of state), laundering fees, and additional fees upon return if the chair covers are not returned in excellent condition.
Please educate your brides and clients to help them make informed decisions.
Both you and the clients and brides want events to proceed without a hitch.
Remember the more informed you are, the more your clients will trust you.
I have a massive order – how many chair covers can you produce?
We have produced orders as small as 20 units, or as large as 6000. We produce chair covers for cruise lines and world-renowned event planners as well as countless others.
What are the care instructions for my chair covers?
Launder in warm water on a regular cycle. Use spot cleaning on catsup, wine, salad oil, lipstick, coffee or mustard.
The covers require no ironing if you remove them from the dryer right away. Fold them the same way you received them.
